DROP

How DROP works

Published · Updated

A website in. People you can talk to out. Relevant mentions and potential opportunities are shown separately. Neither is a confirmed customer.

1. Paste a site or handle

Your product, a competitor, or your creator profile. DROP reads public bios and explicitly linked pages to understand what you make. X profiles can also provide recent public author posts. Gated content is never accessed.

2. Search public conversation

The initial logged-in preview samples recent needs on X and Reddit, then older posts or alternative wording when useful. Paid monitoring adds LinkedIn and Threads and searches up to 30 days within the allowance. Neither mode promises a complete archive or a matching result.

3. Find a reason to connect

Relevant Mentions and potential Opportunities are shown separately. For products, look for requests, problems and evaluations. For creators, look for explicit content requests and specific shared interests. Every match needs source evidence; fans and sales are never guaranteed. Filters change both the chart and the list.

4. Open the original post

Review the source, its publication date and the matching reason before deciding whether a response is appropriate. DROP does not contact people for you. Log in to preview matching posts. New accounts can open one recent, actionable opportunity before subscribing, when available.

What each source can provide

Public source coverage depends on availability and allowance
SourceInitial previewPaid monitoring and limits
XSampled public postsAvailable public posts; not private messages or follower graphs.
RedditSampled public posts and commentsAvailable public posts and comments; community rules still apply.
LinkedInNot includedPublicly indexed posts; not InMail or a complete LinkedIn feed.
ThreadsNot includedPublicly indexed posts; not private or exhaustive activity.

When a result is missing

Zero displayed results do not establish that nobody needs your product. Check the source status first: collecting or waiting for a provider, a provider failure, a read allowance or budget wait, pending or failed review, and a completed search with no matching evidence are different outcomes. Check active filters and the post publication window too: an older post can be discovered today. Only a completed, reviewed sample supports a no-match conclusion for that sample.

Check status and next steps. Plan prices and allowances.
