Navy Combat Demolition Unit D-Day Reenactment

June 7, 2019 - U.S. Navy Special Warfare Unit 2 reenact the mission carried out by a Navy Combat Demolition Unit during D-Day (June 6, 1944) that helped clear blockades on Utah Beach in Normandy, France to allow equipment to move forward on the beach.

D-Day involved more than 160,000 Allied troops, who landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France in World War II.
