Welcome to Archer City Texas. Archer City (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_City,_Texas) is located at the junction of state highways 79 and 25. Archer City is about 25 miles south of Wichita Falls and is the county seat for #ArcherCounty (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/....Archer_County,_Texas Archer City was named after Branch Tanner Archer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Branch_T._Archer) who served as Commissioner to the United Sates, Speaker of the house of the Republic of Texas house of representatives and secretary of war of the republic of Texas. The census is outdated but according to Wikipedia, the population in 2010 was 1,834.
