# DROP facts, sources and evidence boundaries

> A dated fact register distinguishing DROP implementation evidence, vendor documentation and pending global availability and speed studies.

We distinguish implementation review, vendor documentation and measured product results. An implementation review describes the code; it is not an independent audit, uptime guarantee or worldwide performance study.

## Implementation fact register

Evidence class: first-party implementation review. Not an independent certification.

### Up to 3 GB per transfer (3,000,000,000 bytes total).

Implementation reference: worker/storage.ts: MAX_BYTES; worker/index.ts: POST /api/transfers

### Between 1 and 1,000 files per transfer; folder paths are preserved.

Implementation reference: worker/index.ts: transfer creation; worker/storage.ts: safePath; worker/zip.ts

### Send and download a link without a DROP account.

Implementation reference: worker/index.ts: creation, public listing and download routes

### Anonymous links expire 24 hours after creation. Verified Google sign-in can extend owned uploads to 72 hours after creation, when configured and before expiry.

Implementation reference: worker/index.ts: creation, Google callback and TransferCoordinator.extend; worker/storage.ts: active

### Download files individually or together as a streamed ZIP archive.

Implementation reference: worker/index.ts: download/archive; worker/zip.ts

### Preview supported images, PDF, video, audio and text. Office previews require the converter and accept originals up to 64 MiB.

Implementation reference: src/components/FileCardContent.tsx; src/components/DocumentPreview.tsx; worker/index.ts: serveFile

### Anyone holding a valid link can download. Access stops at expiry; storage cleanup follows asynchronously and retries failures.

Implementation reference: worker/storage.ts: active, purge; worker/index.ts: alarms and scheduled cleanup

### Built with Cloudflare Workers, private R2 storage and D1.

Implementation reference: wrangler.jsonc; worker/index.ts

## How product facts are supported

The register below identifies implementation locations for each claim. The repository’s integration checks exercise local R2, D1, multipart transfers, expiry guards and archive integrity. A local check only establishes the tested local behavior. Production deployment and individual service configuration still matter.

## What has not been established

There is no published independent cross-provider speed test, country-by-country transfer matrix, universal availability guarantee, end-to-end encryption certification or quantified uptime record here. We do not invent rankings, customer quotes, test results or AI citation guarantees.

## Corrections and maintenance

Comparisons link to the vendor that owns each fact and carry a review date. Recheck vendor plans before using them, after a plan change and during editorial review. The evidence status should change only when the underlying measurement or implementation changes.
